Is there anywhere in Newcastle/Gateshead that sells ornaments/statues of the Angel of the North ?
Can't say for sure but I know the Baltic has a gift shop with lots of regional gifts.
Worth a try perhaps.
Will give that a try. Cheers

Those two shops at the roundabout of Dean Street/Side carry that sort of stuff, though I can't imagine they're currently open. I think there's a similar thing in Grainger Market as well, used to get loads of likes from those lot when I was a street photographer.

Should I be concerned that a tracked and signed for parcel was on the Royal Mail tracker all day yesterday as 'We've got it' yet all day today just comes up with an error message whenever I've tried to check? And obviously hasn't arrived in the meantime.

Has happened to me before and the thing subsequently turned up, was just moaning about it in the photo thread a couple of days back. @Infinitely Content might have a perspective on Royal Mail for you though

 I'll just accept the fact it may take longer than usual. At least it's nothing urgent.

Someone has brought in Fabs, Twisters and Nobbly Bobblies into the office and claimed they are the 3 best types of ice lollies which is quite a bold claim

I do like a twister but found it a half half.

What about a solero?

Twister, sure. Calypo has to be up there though. Fab's are one of those things that you have nostalgia for but aren't actually that great. Nobbly Bobblies are also rans, if there name wasn't fun to say nobody would be fussed.

Solero has no place in this discussion.

Solaros have too much ice cream to be an "ice lolly". Same with Twister and the ice cream is not nice on that anyway. Calippos are the OG ice lolly, like. Dat syrup at the bottom, man. Fruit Pastille lollies are mega too.

If we're just branding any old cold item on a stick an ice lolly the Feasts s*** on most from a height.

The ice cream on a twister is just garnish man. It's a lolly.

Hmmm. It's an argument that needs considering, I'll give you that.

The original [or my memory of], I'd agree. They make these s*** imitations now that just taste of freeze-burn.

I thought the Solero was frozen yoghurt?

Strawberry Mivvy is a definite ice lolly, so all of the above disqualifications are disqualified.

Mind you, my qualifying standards are " if the ice lolly man sold it, it's an ice lolly", and I'm sure he sold ice cream sandwiches.

It's the way they were branded when you were younger. Proper slow kid ice creams, beloved by the DUPLO boys.
