Allegedly deal is structured so that the Yankees are still under the luxury tax threshold this season.  Aren't Judge, Bird and Sanchez still two seasons away from arbitration as well?

They are totally signing Machado and/or Harper still.

Looking at that lineup we're a bit light at 3B. Hopefully someone will show up in FA.

Once upon a time Bird was the one we were all waiting on. He could be something if he can stay on the field.

 The f***ing arrogance of this statement. The Yankees are well and truly back.

Can’t wait for April.

Dombrowski’s going to spend like a drunken sailor now.

 Imagine if that lineup clicks, Pip. Just imagine.

Imagine if we sort out the starting rotation on top of it. Like, imagine if the kids come up and fit in.

It's f***ing sickening what we might end up being.

 The Yankees could actually be good enough to kill the sport.

He's obviously leaving, but if you guys are the ones who get him you might as well dig up Camden Yards and take it with you too.

Pretty much. I’m resigned to him leaving, there’s almost no way he re-ups with us next year. If they’re going to flip him, do it now and send him somewhere far away where he’s likely to sign a long-term contract.

I think St. Louis would be a good fit.

I’ll be very surprised if we trade him there. He’ll probably end up there after next season, but it won’t be our doing.

Got bored, drew up new divisions. Based solely on geography. Added expansions teams in Montreal and Portland to even it out:

American League

Northeast
Boston Red Sox
Montreal Expos
New York Mets
New York Yankees

Rust Belt
Cincinnati Reds
Cleveland Indians
Detroit Tigers
Toronto Blue Jays

Frontier
Colorado Rockies
St. Louis Cardinals
Kansas City Royals
Texas Rangers

Pacific Northwest
Portland Expansion
Oakland Athletics
San Francisco Giants
Seattle Mariners

National League

Mid-Atlantic
Baltimore Orioles
Philadelphia Phillies
Pittsburgh Pirates
Washington Nationals

Great Lakes
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox
Milwaukee Brewers
Minnesota Twins

South
Atlanta Braves
Houston Astros
Miami Marlins
Tampa Bay Rays

Southwest
Arizona Diamondbacks
Los Angeles Angels
Los Angeles Dodgers
San Diego Padres

Also, seven-inning games, no DH, unrestricted substitutions, shorter regular season, expanded playoffs (same as NFL: divisions winners + two wild cards)
