Party Venues in Town
« on: Tuesday 13 December 2016, 08:24:42 am »
Sooooo I popped the question and she said yes - problem is she has a large family and we need to arrange an engagement party apparently, somewhere accessible to oldies. Not asking too much

I think we have around 200 guests coming. Can anyone offer me any recommendations? I'm looking at the City Tavern, but she wants somewhere people can have a dance later on. Google is telling me to have it at SJP, but the last wedding we went to there ended in tears (unsurprisingly) so it's a bit tainted as far as our family goes.

Yeah, I've been to a few parties there and it's quite decent.

Mr Lynch next to Jesmond metro, wor lass had her 30th there. Not sure it'd do 200 or not but I'm sure it was free to rent the room.
