Loved his FK vs Derby, had no right to score.  Kick started a great comeback.

Ah man, Robert's left foot was equal parts rocket launcher and equal parts pure finesse!

Lua Lua was good like on his day. Wasn’t a fan of Ambrose. Probably unfairly blame him for us selling Solano to Villa like.

I always got the feeling he was better than he got credit for. Seemed at the time players like him and Milner got more flak because the team were failing due the lack of mobility up front. Could never really tell if the players themselves were that bad, or we just had a manager who had no idea how to assemble a football team. Not that different to now really.

Not sure Bernard would agree with that, 100% rocket launcher from his experience

Aye that’s my favourite free-kick of his too.

Robert, Riise, Hitzelsperger, Kolarov off the top of my head. Baines too but not as much of a rocket as those

Whilst those free kicks were good, they pale into insignificance against his volleys vs Spurs

Yep forgot about Bale.

Gamst Pederson loved a screamer, think he was left corner footed and that left back for Wigan that scored from half way

Can't believe no ones said David Silva yet. Easily up there with Robert for me.

He's not even in the same ballpark! Robert regularly scored screamers from 35 yards plus.  Silva is more technically gifted without a doubt but Robert s***s on him in the left peg stakes

Being "more technically gifted" with his left foot is exactly why he's up there.

David Silva has a f***ing lovely left foot man, only Messi is better at left footed passes.
When it comes to whacking it though, got to give it to Robert.

No mention of Ben Arfa for best left foot?

The ones that stand out in my mind are:

Bale
Robert
Robben
Van Persie
Ben Arfa

Robert would be very hit and miss. He really frustrated the team on off days where he thought being anywhere over the half way line on the opposition half was a goal scoring opportunity while having 100% hit rate on the closest defenders head on corners. For consistency and precision Robben, Van Persie, Ben Arfa, David and Bernardo Silva, Ozil and Giggs were/are all better. Maybe it's because I watched him more than I've watched any of the others that my judgement is a bit harsh, but unless the criteria is who had hardest left footed shot I wouldnt have him in my top 5.

I think that’s a pretty fair assessment Conjo 👍.

David Silva pisses it for me.  Absolute magician!

 :D
I'll be watching the games, and I'll be talking about the teams. If it's a disaster it will be quite humorous and exactly what Mike Ashley deserves and to be honest I'll quite enjoy it. I am totally indifferent to results and the team success going forward.

Now, in certain games should the team do well, I will be happy more for the players, because I feel bad for them mostly, and I still want to see some of them do well. I will still feel comfortable giving the team credit when they do well. I just don't care about any outcome at this point and none of my money goes into anything to do with Mike Ashley's operations.
