Really getting my hooks into Bowie's last album. Blackstar (the song) is quality. Love it when the entire structure of the song changes midway, reminds me of Station to Station.

It is a pretty haunting album and a great send-off for one of the greatest musicians in human history.
Not one of the cool kids, and really insecure about it.

 I'm so happy he still had his voice at the end. Lots of the older guys lose that. When the song changes he sounds like a kid again.

The War on Drugs - Under the Pressure

The section starting at the 4 minute mark is just f****** sublime. The vocal melody, the beautiful simplicity of that guitar just carrying you away. Songwriting genius, I completely adore this band.

That whole album, man. Transports you to someplace else on each and every listen.

No more Waterloo, no more rural country halts, no more solitude: no more becoming, just interminable being.

Completely agree my friend. Transcendental - discovering them lately has had such a positive impact on all areas of my life. Such a powerful thing when you just seem to align with a band, an album or even just a song.

Haha, aye he's canny cryptic at times w/ his promotion, the band are called LUH (as in love with a northern accent), but also an abbreviation of Lost Under Heaven which becomes Love Unites Humanity at times. If you search for an album called 'Spiritual Songs for Lovers to Sing' I think you will be happy with what you find. Seriously talented and creative artist. His first band WU LYF are worth checking out too, I'm downplaying this cause' I view him as a artistic genius and totally adore his music but don't want to impose to much on your own listening experience.

Here's one from his former band.

One of my favourite ever songs by him. Totally agree about the song change, and back, just over half way. The contrast between the music that went before it and the melodic, poetic music that it turns in to is brilliant.

Can hear the influence of To Pimp A Butterfly on that song too. With the sax breakdown and jazz drumming.
And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make

Class Hans mate, glad you're feeling them.

Starting the day with some Springsteen (Fire).
"I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio..."

He wrote this song for Elvis Presley, he planned to send him a demo hoping he would record it. Elvis would pass away before he received the demo. Bruce went on and recorded this stunning version anyway.
