Probably the most emotional album I've ever heard.

His mom's last voicemail at the end is absolutely devastating when you get to it. :'(

As an RIP to the almost entirely unknown but supremely talented composer Roland Dyens, who wrote the piece of music that has driven me closest to giving up on guitar..

(alas, his own version isn't as good as this lass's )

Similar to the Andertons TV Sound Like series, I've been really enjoying the Beat This/Against The Clock videos on Youtube of musicians making music with a 10 minute deadline. Seeing the way that everyone works differently is amazing. The two that I've been most impressed with so far are Four Tet and Rival Consoles. Both with totally different approaches to their styles of production. Well worth a watch.

No more Waterloo, no more rural country halts, no more solitude: no more becoming, just interminable being.

New Childish Gambino is good, especially when it finally kicks off.

I'm useless as embedding videos in posts, apologies, simpleton at work.

Obsessed with this album. Such a big sound.
Not one of the cool kids, and really insecure about it.

An underrated band.

I used to love Lush back in the day and the other shoegazing bands.....in particular MBV and Chapterhouse. I tried to crack on to the brunette guitarist from Lush after a Riverside gig. Needless to say, I crashed and burned.

Came in to see if there was much love for A Tribe Called Quest's new album, which I've only had one listen if so far but love. End up seeing Metronomy, A Tribe Called Quest, TV on the Radio and Childish Gambino in consecutive posts. :megusta:
