Didn't realise they were still going. Less popular opinion but Room on Fire was better than Is This It.

s***, wrong album, meant First Impressions. Is this it flows better than both I'll give it that.

12:51 rivals anything they've done though.

Is This It is a cultural masterpiece. I love First Impressions of Earth. 12:51 is great. All p*ssed on by Is This It, though.

I'm not saying it's not superb, it is. It's a go to still and it probably doesn't have an evidentially weak song. For e.g I love New York City Cops but first 4 off First Impressions is as good an opening as you could want to an album.

I'll always think Is This It is their absolute best. But FIOF was vastly, vastly under rated at the time imo. So impressive in so many areas. There was a a couple of weak songs on there though.

However...

Different angles innit. Heart in a Cage is genuinely one of my favourite songs and not far behind is  Vision of Division.

Any fans of Nadine Shah on here? Shes actually from around Newcastle as well. Her latest album is pretty good, this is a particular highlight:

Steve Bruce, liar, s*** manager and general prick.

Never got the hype around The Strokes when they exploded on the scene. Lotion should’ve been the band from NYC that era that made it massive. No accounting for taste as they say

Wouldn’t be surprised if no one has heard of them. One of music’s best kept secrets.

Aye, but presumably it wouldn't have happened without Spencer's Group :) I didn't phrase that very well though, you're right
