Future Islands have some sublime tracks. Was lucky enough to enjoy a few drinks with Sam the vocalist in Manchester 10 years ago, and I've been besotted with his music ever since.

Sure we have somebody from Baltimore on here? B-More perhaps? Are they adored in their home city?

Randomly stumbled across these at Glastonbury one year. Was heading to back to camp when they were on the Other Stage and I was completely mesmerised by them, especially the lead singer. Watched the whole of their set. Seasons, albeit their most popular track, is sublime.

Yeah, they're a big deal here. Their origins are in North Carolina but they really started picking up stream when they moved here.

Good for the covid playlist. There first few albums are absolutely fantastic.
Not one of the cool kids, and really insecure about it.

Check out Secret Treaties if you haven't. I think Astronomy is the best song they ever did. Metallica covered it on Garage Days. Eric Bloom has a hell of a voice.

Some brand new Bright Eyes for the pandemic.

 If you're going to release the first new Bright Eyes in almost a decade, the end of society seems like a fitting time. Good track btw, one of his best songs since the early 2000s I think.

Today marks the 10 year anniversary of the release of this magical album  Possibly the best clean guitar tone I've ever heard, perfectly capturing the aquatic and mysterious essence of the record.

I'll post a music video I did as part of the Niger film a bit later. It was an impromptu concert he did at the Cure Salee festival in northern Niger. Seems like a lifetime ago now.
