Not so sure on this one. First transfer this summer I've been a bit wary over.

Hope he'll prove me wrong.

I liked the look of him when he first broke into the Villa team.

Since then... :anguish:

Too boring for me to have ever formed an opinion on him. Guess it can't hurt to have four natural centerbacks

Good name.

4th choice centre back? Bit of a strange one but at least we have plenty of cover incase of injuries

A left back is priority
hello tyneside, we've brought the cup home back for you

VillaTalk is pretty active, but they don't seem to have caught on yet. Pretty negative to average things said about him in his thread though https://www.villatalk.com/topic/4140-ciaran-clark/?page=213

Bit unsure, never paid attention to him. Seemed canny as a youngster, but stagnated (hardly surprising in that  villa team). Plays a few positions so gives extra squad depth. £5m is a canny chunk tho, hope there's still money in the pot next year

He can play left back, albeit in a Dummett fashion I imagine.

How the f*** would your average NUFC supporter have one clue about a Villa left back?

Surprised we've got so many Ciaran Clark experts tbh. I assume he's s***, given he's a Villa player, but I don't really have the first clue.

I've never really noticed him playing, so have no idea if he would be an upgrade on any of our players or if he is a squad filler. Grant Hanley seemed to be more highly thought of and the fee would be similar.
