Wonder if they can just arrange to start this season in the Championship? Save everyone some time.

But then how will fans in China see the Sports Direct adverts while we're getting humped 4-0 by Man U?

I liked how he was getting forward more on Saturday. Three midfielders means he can do that more, a few times he was getting in the right channel to the byline from passes from Sterry then Manquillo. Could be a handy tool.

He'd be a fool not to push for his transfer. He's built himself a solid reputation, but a big part of that is due to his commitment, whilst seeking a move away from Rafa's United. If he stays, happily, with Bruce's club (we are not HIS united) then that will evaporate and he'll be judged on a par with everybody else. Well, those that continue to go, and choose to direct their feelings at the players, because they can't do owt about c***.

We need about 7 new players as it is without losing one of our better midfielders.

Not like this regime to renege on promises. Doesn't sound like Ashley FC at all.

wonder if we're asking crazy money for him?  seems really odd no one is remotely bothered trying to sign him, not even heard of anyone interested
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave

They'll betray you in my name

I like how they can shift Perez for loads of money as soon as the season ends, but everything else takes an absolute age.

Could it be the case that due to his personal circumstances there's a very limited number of PL / Champo clubs that would be geographically suitable for him to join?

Was saying to a mate over the weekend he's probably f***ed himself over by playing too well second half of the season and as a result the club pricing out of a move.

Plus it's a great chance for the club to f*** him over for being a good professional and popular with fans, something they enjoy doing more than anything else.

I doubt Ashley would hang on to a player he could sell.

I was thinking that as well. I think his poor form for a couple of seasons means he is underrated. There's a good player at a great age in there. Teams are probably looking at around £8-10m. In reality he is worth double that.

All settled at home now maybe? Or no offers came in for him. Think there was only Brighton rumoured from the premier league.

maybe he's too nice about it. Not sure of the exact reasons for him wanting to leave but he's been nothing but professional while its been going on so its not like the club or manager would be in that much of a hurry to sell him since he's causing no problems and hasn't been really pushing for a move.
Or maybe whatever reason he had for wanting to go has been sorted in the interim :dontknow:

Also that first year especially of having a child can be mental. The following years too but it's possible things have got easier on that front as his kid has got older. Might have also just given up asking for the move!

Hyped for "like a new signing" to be doled out at the next press conference.

First bit of actual good news since the season ended. His attitude given his off-field problems has been impeccable and we look way better when he’s on his game.

I like Hayden and if he is paired with Longstaff with Shelvey quarterback we will have a potentially good midfield however he is ore than capable of playing s*** and also Bruce.
