We gave colback a 6 year contract.  Absolutely embarrassing.

If you add in Saivet we've actually got 7 senior CMs on the books. Two of which have no future here, one wants to leave, one is out of contract in the summer and questions over the future of Shelvey. A lot of work to do in the summer...

If we somehow manage to get rid of Colback and Saivet in addition to Hayden and Diame leaving it would be a good opportunity to replace those 4 with 2 more eligble players and still have decent cover in central midfield. It would still probably need to be at a net cost so doubt it'll happen.

Offers nothing going forward or creatively. Average at best. Fair play coming in and not playing s****, but we need much better in there than what he gives or rather doesn’t give.

Being a workhorse is his game and he did it well tonight.

Great effort yet again, did a lot of the slog running in the midfield and played it smart when he had it.
Dead in the middle of Little Italy little did we know that we riddled some middle men who didn't do diddely.

Colback’s not coming back is he? Thought his contract was up?

He was excellent tonight, it would be nice to keep him here but in a way I'm not too concerned if he does depart. If you look back to last season, Diame & Shelvey seemed so key to us and the loss of that partnership would have worried us all massively. This season the pair of them have featured less with the emergence of Hayden & Longstaff who now seem invaluable. It leads me to believe Rafa is just very good at getting his midfield pairing working together effectively in this system, and would trust going forward into next season (if he's here) that we will remain strong in the that area whether it's with him identifying a new addition or continuing to use 2 of the existing 5.

He's doing well but the problem is his game is running around a lot and those types of midfielder are a dime a dozen. He's not irreplaceable.

He’s an average midfielder on a good run of form. Similar to Diame last year.

Class today. One of the best tackle assists you're likely to see. Happy to hear the ovation he got when he was taken off.

4 assists and a goal from the holding midfield position. Not bad!

That shot deserved a goal as well, it was a hell of a save to keep it out. Lovely strike.

Just reading some Rafa quotes; this lad also came off with an injury concern today.

This lad is the Diame of last season from Jan onwards. He's been quality for a while.

Shame cause him and Longstaff could potentially have our CM positions sorted for a long time.

All those clubs are probably too far for his personal issues however. A West Midlands club is clearly going to be preferred

While I feel sorry for him, I would say we have to be fair to our own club. If he wants to move further south it should be in the championship. Why should strengthen a direct rival?

If he's being actively scouted then he will have been impressing - he's become a lot more imposing and was ferocious at times today. No, he's not irreplaceable but he certainly needs a quality replacement because he's given some excellent service this season.
