Felt pretty light weight to me. Very much style over substance. Also, Blade Runner must be fewmin'.

That shoot-out scene towards the end felt very John Wick I thought.

It's perfectly natural to look for familiarities that help us to understand the story, don't you think? Or maybe we don't look for them, maybe they find us.

Either way, I sense that they deliberately didn't try to avoid any familiarities. They seem to be trying to demonstrate the hive mind, so best to use widely accepted ideas. A bit like Christianity latching onto pagan festivals.
