Have heard the same stories indicating he was a pretty horrible bloke in the 80s but an amazing technical wrestler and seemed miles ahead of his time in that respect.  I read his book Pure Dynamite when it came out and it was pretty amazing actually.  Was very sad how he had to live so much of his life in a wheelchair having once been so agile and active.  Anyway sad news, RIP.

Remembered just then that I used to buy this mag called Power Slam during the Attitude era which was totally class, looks like it finished in 2014 but there are books with the best bits of the magazine over the years on Kindle so I might pick them up.

Edit - Ah it looks like they've got the Dynamite kid interview I was thinking of in the 2nd of those books actually, gonna pick all 3 of them up as the quality of the content in that mag was brilliant iirc so 20 quid seems a steal.

It's getting to the point now that when a wrestler in the 80s and 90s isn't proved to be an asshole i'm shocked.

Just caught up with TLC, that triple threat was class

Charlotte flair is nuts.
Could it have feasibly climbed high enough to leave the atmosphere? ???

Thought she was dead after that botch to her ribs. :kasper:
Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal: "From impending tragedy to near-triumph via the most improbable route possible - 95 minutes that neatly encapsulate 130 years of football on this particular piece of grass. Newcastle, United, will never be defeated."

Sir Bobby Robson - What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses or the marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

Ah, man. Power Slam was such a good magazine. Was clearing out some cupboards a few years back at the parents and found a pile of them, probably reaching three figures of issues. I may have gotten distracted for a fair old while with the nostalgia.

I assume Becky's leg drop where she landed right on Charlotte's ribcage and the table took a second to give.

Charlotte took a bunch of crazy bumps  She also somehow kept landing on her head on multiple table bumps instead of going back first.

I've been critical of how they push her in a Reigns like way but i can't criticise her work in big matches. I think it's obvious at this point that the Women will main event WM, it's the angle they are pushing the most and the one that the fans seem most invested in.

Ah it's mint, isn't it :) I tend to be a bit flaky with podcasts and dip out after a while but that one's been consistently interesting / hilarious so I look forward to it every week. Saw them do it live at the Podcast Festival a few months back and it was mint but unfortunately they showed so much copyrighted material (of Summerslam 92) they never actually put that one out.

The 12 Days Of Xmas thing they've done this month where they've covered a few classics / oddities that fall outside Wrestlemania has been excellent too. And they're basically upto Attitude Era Wrestlemania now so it'll be mint the next few months.

Found tbis tweet from Hogan to be quite apt considering today's product, it's a shame they've gone so far away from what obviously works. Overscripting talent isn't beneficial to anyone. With that said the guy was amazing, even if you didn't watch one show in the 1980s you've likely heard Gene's voice.

GOAT interviewer IMO.
