Cavolo Nero (Italian Kale) with fried vittoria tomatores, chili olives and focaccia bread.

Had it as a side the other day at Carluccios but it makes a pretty decent tea.

Flank steak on top of potatoes, squash, and peas all made on the cast iron. Was good.

So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

i made RAMEN today. Was canny. Easy as p*ss too.

If I could get a top notch broth together, this may be a go to quick meal for years to come.

 I love it.

I fry up some garlic and cabbage with toasted sesame oil and soy sauce, add a wee noodle sachet (or some miso), boil that down so it's real tasty. Cut some discs of courgette, salt em, dip em in egg and panko breadcrumb them. Shallow fry and serve them on top of the noodles and broth with a poached egg.

Was probably the best meal I've ever cooked to be honest. My usual meals don't take much work or thought - grill, bake or pan fry the meat/fish and have a salad or veggies on side.

This one took time to prepare and all that s***. chopping veggies in cubes versus just throwing a s*** ton of asparagus on the grill or in oven

Good ramen is an absolute art form like. Never had any homemade stuff that even comes close, f*** knows how you'd store your broth.

For those NYC/London based I can't stress enough how good Ippudo is/was when I went in Kyoto. It's Hakata/Fukuoka style so the broth is a bit thicker & creamier, absolutely unreal.

The noodle trend hasn't reached bloody Florida (at least orlando) but love going to Momofuku noodle bar and other noodle-type spots in the bigger North East cities and the Pac NW. Although being a Floridian, its hard to get on board with just craving the heartier, warmer items that cold climate folks enjoy.

This thing keeps popping up on Facebook ads for me.  It just looks so depressing - imagine quitting real food and just drinking this gruel for every meal.

Looks like Soylent. (edit: oh they do compare it. Sounds better, anyway. link)

We had an architect at work who went on the stuff; cheaper and quicker than eating out. Said he didn't miss food at all, but allowed himself to eat regularly on the weekends so he wouldn't "forget what food is like". He brought in samples - I think he was trying to get everyone hooked on it so we'd just make a shake and work through lunch at our desks; stuff tasted very much of nothing, couldn't drink it without some kind of flavoring.

fwiw soylent was created by a real life line-between-crazy-and-genius-straddling person whose blog is an interesting read even at the worst of times http://robrhinehart.com/?p=1331

 See last paragraph. I have a few friends that went to GaTech around the time he did but no one seems to have known him. It's really weird, but I guess it's sustainable as a business and food practice.
