Chopsticks for a curry

Trying to be authentic, that and trying to improve the aesthetics. Give up using them after a few mins

You don't have chopsticks with thai food.

Not to ignite the tinned tuna debate, but 25gs protein in one tin. Best ever.
 I dunno. I'm starting to think it was us.
Trump will do well man. Don't know why but I really feel this will be the case. Really hope it will come to be that way.

Lunch today (and for the next few days):

-Homemade gnocchi
-Homemade spicy roasted garlic and tomato sauce
-Sausage
-Feta

An old standby that gets me about four lunches for around $10

Do you have a specific gnocchi recipe @cubaricho? I've never considered it myself, but it seems fairly easy and a decent change up from the norm.

Nothing really specific, it's very few ingredients just takes practice. I had a girlfriend who's grandma showed me a couple of times back in the day and I do it mostly based on feel. Two big ol' potatoes for this batch, an egg (sometimes two if there is more potato) beaten and folded in, flour to desired thickness (maybe a cup or so?), salt to taste obviously. Just takes a few times and then you'll start nailing it almost every time.

That gnocchi looks spot on.  I remember making it before, but not letting the potatoes cool down enough (as I was too hungry to wait longer ) and it ended up being an absolute nightmare.  Need to give it another go sometime; might even stick it inside a yorkshire pudding.

Not huge on gnocchi either, but when done right it's one of the best pastas

Technically a dumpling not pasta.

If the potatoes are too hot they'll scramble the egg when you fold it in

Technically a dumpling not pasta.

From wiki:

"Gnocchi are a variety of pasta consisting of various thick, small, and soft dough dumplings"

That's a spanner in this argument.

There's definitely a spanner in that argument.

Yes. A variety. As in different. A variation to pasta. Similar but different. The quality or state of being different.

As your quote states, they are dumplings.

Thank you for backing me up on this one mate.

Quote
Capellini (Italian pronunciation: [kapelˈliːni], literally "little hairs") is a very thin variety of Italian pasta, with a diameter between 0.85 and 0.92 millimetres (0.033 and 0.036 in).[1] Like spaghetti, it is rod-shaped, in the form of long strands.

Capellini's not pasta! :frantic:
