About scran and dishwashers
A splatterhouse turd done in the manky toilets of a discotheque, brought on my the consumption of cowies or toot.

Finally found yeast in the supermarket. First attempt at bread products.

So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

Taste ok. Bit heavy though cause I used spelt flour that we had in the cupboard. Happy with them as a first bash tho.

Made some falafel tonight (had to shallow fry them) needs parsley next time (couldn't find any) but still tasted alright.  Overdid the mix though, will last for days.

Was just watching Unorthodox and was talking about pastrami, something that is genuinely s**** here. First thing I’m doing if I ever go to the US again is snorting a classic pastrami sandwich or a Reuben in double quick fashion.

You know the episode of Friends where they have to answer questions about each other and it turns out Joey's favourite food is sandwiches?  I never understood that until I moved to the US.  Sandwiches here are on a different level to the typical dreary Tesco meal deal.

 And you can't get dreary sandwiches over there? When I think of buying a half decent sandwich here, I dont think supermarket meal deal. And I'm not exactly struggling for options.

Can well imagine, even the better sandwich shops here are largely poor IMO compared to a decent homemade.

I will make a special exception for the Pret Chicken Caesar though.

Surprised given how much we’ve imported food wise over here a proper deli sandwich chain has never taken off here but then again a £3 meal deal is cheap and convenient as f***.

They're a lot rarer.  I've not seen prepackaged ones on sliced white in many places, Subway-style counters are a lot more common.  I eat them a lot less now because they're expensive as f*** (that one was $12), but I've genuinely not had a bad sandwich out here.

It’s not much better but weirdly there was quiznos (IIRC) in the Metro Centre all through the 90s long before subway got big. Reopened again a couple of years back on Northumberland St before going bust.

 I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a spreadsheet of places to eat if I go to NY on the iPad.

 It's always surprising how many weird places have these deli counters like. Petrol stations and everything. Tasty and risky, that's the recipe for a good sammich.
