Something has to be done to remember him on here, he was an absolutely huge part of this place from day one and a brilliant person to boot.

I was just thinking the same.

Gejon/Cajun had some proper oldskool craic. We had a fair amount of banter on here and on TT where he was a regular. This is sad news.

That was a jolt, you don't ever expect news like that. I enjoyed his sense of humour and it won't be quite the same without him.

Terrible news. I didn't know him outside this forum, but when I opened this thread it hit me like a truck.

All best wishes and sympathy to those who were close to him.
People generalise too much.

Shocked. Never met him, but he's been an integral and excellent part of the forum since the year dot.

Came across as a thoroughly warm and decent human, and was never in short supply of levity or s*** jokes (that were actually pretty decent). My deepest sympathies for his nearest and dearest, and those of you knew him.

Bit of disbelief about it at the moment. Fondly remember his summer of defending Demba Ba to the hilt during a slow pre-season and his self-satisfaction/s*** jokes after Ba started blitzing the league. It was never in a mean or points-scoring way, of course, which sums Cajun up for me.

With Jon being 3 years older than me, when I was younger I used to ask the big man for advice on girls etc...

I think I was like 19 or something when we used to have those chats, and they always ended up with him taking the p*ss, but in the best way possible. That was like 10 years ago.

Last time I saw him was in the Trent after the last game of the season (one before last, maybe?) and he wa giving me tips to bulk my arms up  :'(

Miss you big guy.

i'm in with whatever people go for, will contribute however i can
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

No. No. Just no.

f***ing devastated by this. :(

Such a lovely bloke. Thoughts with his family and all who knew him. :(
Whether it's God or the bomb
It's just the same
It's only fear under another name
And the corporate snakes coming in to feed
On that pathetic fact known as human greed
Skin and bone being raked over those hot coals
This dump never seems to give time for human soul

Absolutely awful news. Always seemed like a good bloke, and although I've never met him (or anyone from N- O), I genuinely felt like I knew him quite well.

Such a shame. RIP Jon.

For mine I will say Spurs. She's generally entertaining and good to look at, but is inconsistent and thinks far too highly of herself. Creates far too much drama for someone of so little importance.

Taken from us too soon, what a top bloke and I'm hurting thinking how those who are closest to him are doing. Never had the chance to meet him but always wanted to. He's going to be missed. Rest in peace Jon. :-(
