May have to dig out Mr Jolly lives next door tonight.

Absolutely love Mr Jolly, dread to think how many times I've seen it now.

A genuine comedy legend, always played the same character but if it's not broke don't fix it. RIP.

Catalan children of my generation grew up with "The Young Ones", it was hugely popular in this neck of the woods. RIP :(

So sad and such a young age to go.  He was a great comic, Blackadder, Young Ones, Bottom, he was one of that generation of comics who brought us some brilliant shows.  RIP.

Genuinely sad about this. I watched Bottom obsessively as a teenager (:boomboom:) and Blackadder is pretty much my favourite comedy ever. 56 FFS, not good.

Ade Edmondson on Rik Mayall: 'He's died for real. Without me. Selfish b******.'

Truly, today has been a total shitter of a day.

Bottom's up, Rik.
Whether it's God or the bomb
It's just the same
It's only fear under another name
And the corporate snakes coming in to feed
On that pathetic fact known as human greed
Skin and bone being raked over those hot coals
This dump never seems to give time for human soul

Lesbo Ferdinand, electric cattle prod, pawning a wooden leg, camping on Wimbledon common, stuck on top of a big wheel & cobwebs, great memories growing up. Always wished he did more.

He did a Jackanory? Gutted I missed that one.

The only one I remember is Baldrick doing Odysseus.

Here's the Jackanory..    It's brilliant :)

He's probably the reason I've been a massive fan of comedy all my life. My dad letting me watch the Young Ones when my mam wouldn't let me. And Blackadder was just mine and my brother's favourite thing ever. RIP Flash.

f***ing gutted. The Young Ones and Bottom were always on the tele when I was growing up. So hilariously creepy in bottom. Far too young. RIP.
Could it have feasibly climbed high enough to leave the atmosphere? ???
