Robbie Fowler has been released by A-League club Brisbane Roar. He’d only been there 22 games but had turned a basket case club around and was starting to really impress people.

He (and his assistant) returned to England before the COVID lockdown, and has been unable to return, so he and the club mutually agreed to go separate ways.

He built a strong reputation very quickly and is apparently in the market for a gig in England. Definitely worth keeping an eye on his next move.

Peter Lim is a clown that's why.

This is the guy that sacked Nuno and got Gary Neville in.

Benfica manager sacked.  Going through one of the worst run of form in their entire history.

Never saw him going into management tbh. Wasn't he super shrewd with his wages? Always thought he'd be one of those that would just enjoy the rest of his life doing the occasional punditry. Fair play.

Seem to recall he did a lot with property, and was always high up in the lists on footballers net-worth even after retiring. Impressive considering he retired before the stupidly massive wages and image deals. Certainly won't be one of those footballers you hear about being bankrupt a few years after the wages dry up

Yup - he also bought property here when he played and kept it in his portfolio.

He certainly didn't blow it all on blow.

Is there any chance he was sacked for doing a crap job, or is it almost definitely maybe possibly because he's not white

Sol's a decent manager I think. No one could have helped Southend this season

Their squad should be closer to the playoffs. Although they did sell one of their better players in Jan

Apart from Millwall and Blackburn, I wouldn’t say their squad is better than anyone above them?

Wasn't sacked. Mutual consent and it really was mutual.

Campbell should get a shot at a decent League 1 club imo. Kept Macclesfield up when they were dead and buried and they weren't even paying their players. Southend too in dire straits financially. Would be interesting to see how he does at a club not up s*** creek.

Would be interesting to find a club in league 1 that's not up s*** creek.

Southend let him down badly, not getting players in he wanted, especially after he was promised them. Southend have their own version of Ashley in Ron Martin. He makes Arry, Fat Same and George Graham look like honest to god saints

Based on very little I think they'll go for Hughton.
