I've watched three episodes of Mindhunter and kind of enjoyed it but it just didn't seem to be going anywhere
"Lots of young fellas runnin' around in shorts, that's the kind of think you like looking at, and I bet you like that too, only you're probably imagining what they'd look like without shorts, you're sitting there imagining that with a big smile on your face, ya dirty fecker"

s*** is obviously an exaggeration, fwiw. It's an acceptable show that suffers because it does things we've seen many times before in a somewhat worse way trying to carve its own path.

I said that of the comedies out that year, Dirty Grandpa was one of the better ones - not saying I thought it was a great movie, which it wasn't. It was more a comment on the lack of good comedies that year

Disgusted with myself for calling it Bad Grandpa btw, you win for that alone.

Found it. Always worth a peruse for the fall out at the time.

Ozark is s***. OA is absolute s***. Mindhunter is very good when they do serial killer stuff and very bad when they do non serial-killer stuff.

I love it.  I just imagine its the new arrested development and gone a bit darker.

The show is unoriginal and everything it "steals" from other shows it somehow manages to do worse. Also suffering from being highly predictable. It's average, at best, and that is mainly because of Bateman's capable acting.

That’s what nearly every review said that I read when it came out. It seems to get a lot of praise on here though so was tempted to try it.

It's a good show. Critics panned it but audience reviews are great.

EDIT:

Critical opinion: 64% on Rotten Tomatoes / 67% Metacritic (Critic Reviews)

Audience opinion: 8.4 IMDB / 9.2 TV.com / 93% Google / 83% Metacritic (User Reviews)

Ozark certainly wasn't great but it was by no means terrible either, imo.
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Our perception of rating systems is f***ed. Not a dig Hans as I agree with you tbh but in what world should 6/10 be panned.  5 should be "okay" but it most definitely isn't. I feel FM should shoulder some of the blame.

I know I've watched OA but I had to google what it was about. Guess it wasn't very memorable or I just watch too many shows.

Just started watching the Norwegian show Occupied. I'm really liking the idea and the acting is pretty good as well. It's about a fictional near future where Norwegian green party decides to stop producing oil and gas which leads to an energy crisis. EU gives Russians the mandate to take control of the production facilities and off we go...

64% should be around about right imo. The way people rate things is f***ed up. Anything below 7 is viewed as bad, when really 5 should mean average.
