Watched the first two episodes, decent but hopefully will improve. I do like the slightly shorter length of the episodes to the Netflix norm
"Lots of young fellas runnin' around in shorts, that's the kind of think you like looking at, and I bet you like that too, only you're probably imagining what they'd look like without shorts, you're sitting there imagining that with a big smile on your face, ya dirty fecker"

It does. But if it doesn't click for you after the second or third, probably just give the rest a miss. It's not going to be everybody's thing.

On from today
What did you think of it?

Spoiler

Just watched this and pretty much agree with what you've said there. The first half of the doc was pretty much bad guys vs potentially worse guys so it was difficult to get behind them.

Maybe it's the fact that our president has efficiently attacked free press to the point many people won't believe a word said by major publications, but I thought the Hulk Hogan doc was important and timely right now. They showed a good amount of Gawker's worst moments plus had people critical of them. Honestly I'll never understand why Gawker chose this hill to die on, but what they did when publishing was important, and they had a rightful place in the media landscape. Whatever your thoughts on them, billionaires shouldn't be able to shut down free press by bankrolling lawsuits they have nothing to do with.

Oh definitely not. It was scandalous what went down, such a sinister, shady way of going about controlling the media narrative, for both Gawker and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Binged on Glow the other day. I thought it was pretty good, nothing spectacular but a good way to kill some time.

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

limping through The OA atm, probably the worst netflix stuff i've seen
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

Anyone watched Les Bleus documentary on Netflix?

https://www.netflix.com/gb/title/80164075

Superb viewing.  My only complaint is the sub titles jump from top, to bottom or vice versa.  Can be very distracting.

I was actually pretty intrigued by the first few episodes before it started testing my tolerance for utter bullshit.

Networks/outlets in produce s*** shocker.

However, this comment conveys a more important point.

Quote
This article is totally over hyped. To claim Netflix is 'circling the drain' because its produced some recent content which aren't instant classics is totally missing the mark. I'm excited by it's willingness to innovate and try new things. A failed show does not mean a failed business when it's still also churning out quality material.
