Watching this Russell Brand thing they've got up now. What's this unhinged interview he's on about.

Just watched that last night - he went through a phase of trying to be a serious political commentator and, to put it politely, it didn't go well. The Paxman interview was probably the highlight, you can watch the whole thing here:

 Friends is dead ass on 50 times a day over on tbs.

I still don't see how anyone short of a few hundred mg of Ritalin could find anything entertaining about this f***ing show.
Not one of the cool kids, and really insecure about it.

What age did you watch it for the first time? A lot of people grew up with it.

It's on daily in our house and I'd consider cancelling Netflix (but still probably wouldn't) if it wasn't on there.

The idea is that if millions of people join, Q could become a leading payment network, and, according to well-known economic models, that means the value of the reward would be around $130,000.

Friends is like the Beatles of TV. It has touched everybody's life at some point. It's well made comedy. Personally lasted about 3 seasons, and I'm not that interested in watching it now. But, like the Beatles, it was less ground-breaking and more foundation building.

 It's weird. When it was on, it was a decent show with outrageous women on it. Watching it was torture but it was whatever. Now? I think nostalgia is playing a big role but now it's pretty good.

Probably therein where the mystery of me hating the show lies. I was probably about 20 when it came out.

If it has touched everybody's lives at some point, that right here may help explain the phenomena of Trump and Brexit.

Wouldn't have thought this was possible.

Been watching Friends (in order) on Netflix recently and it's still hilarious, I don't get how some don't find it funny

Everyone is too nice in Friends, and too emotional.

"No hugging, no learning" as Larry David said, which sums up a lot of the comedies I prefer to Friends - Seinfeld/Arrested Development/Always Sunny/Curb etc. Full of terrible, self-centred people.
Consider winning

 I like it. It's a comfortable show that I don't have to think about in depth.

The 3 lasses in the first 2 seasons.
But...6 in a row. But...Calciopoli.

Point still stands. Friends is easy watching, man. Only American sitcom I like along with Cheers.

Don't like HIMYM, Two And A Half Men, didn't really get Seinfeld or M*A*S*H. I do tell a lie, I do like Home Improvement and Fresh Prince but haven't seen either for ages.

Haven't seen any others. Give iz a rest man. I plan to watch Always Sunny over Xmas.

Not liking Two and a Half Men is understandable. Really understandable...

But to put Friends in the same sentence as Cheers is just madness. I could understand if you said Taxi or something, but Friends?

I worked with an Indian lad once who's favourite comedy ever was Keeping Up Appearences.

Don't think I'll ever understand that one.
