Liverpool should have had a pen in the first half too
I couldn't believe that when I first saw it. It's even worse on the replays too. He's miles too high.

What happened?

Ridiculous Alexander Arnold wasn't sent off.

Milner committed two bookable offences in the same move too

TAA can't be sent off as someone scored from it, only a bookable offence then.

I’m repeating myself but this is an area I don’t not know what the rules are.  What is considered the chance?  The shot or the entire period of play?   If it’s the shot he denied a goal scoring chance.  If it’s the period of play he didn’t as we scored.

If atsu misses then it goes back to the handball. As soon as he scores it becomes a goal and yellow card.

This tells us the ref either missed or bottled the decision, if Atsu hadn't scored play would have just continued.

I said before the game this ref was s***.

Or he knows the rules better than you.....

Well, no, as it was a yellow card by the rules.

I was on about it being pulled back for the pen and red card.

Manquillo booted Mane in the head, basically. He was off the ground as well.

But his point is, as there was no yellow card, the ref probably missed it completely

I reckon that Fabinho decision will win them the league.

Can't see City dropping points, Leicester and Brighton have got nowt to play for

Nor did we tonight. Leicester will get something on Monday imho.

Forgot City still had to play Leicester. That's a horrible game considering what went on tonight. You could be right, the officials might have finally won a city the title.

Some solace then against Marriner. In an official capacity he's either blind or doesn't know the rules.

He knows the rules and so does the linesman who was stood five yards away when Fabinho dived blatantly in front of him.

how the f*** is this allowed btw?

Wonder who Mike Dean wants to win.

He doing city leicester?
He actually is

He's from the f***ing wirral isn't he?

Supports Tranmere according to this - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36075347

But seemingly not allowed to ref Liverpool since 2006.......

edit:

Dean was originally appointed to referee the 2006 FA Cup final at the Millennium Stadium on 13 May 2006 but the Football Association later replaced him with Alan Wiley after concerns were raised about Dean's ability to be impartial towards Liverpool

The same way how the other ref from manchester (forgot his name) is allowed to referee city and man utd despite coming from altrincham.

Very fishy.

Something needs to be done, it’s the same referee’s game after game, and not just for us either.
Today he went out and made sure Liverpool were getting the points.

I still find it odd how we can have a referee referee us against Huddersfield, despite being from Huddersfield and a fan of theirs. We had Jeff Winter a lot despite him being a Boro fan. The Manchester teams get the referee from Manchester, including for the derby.
Yet we were never allowed a referee from Newcastle, despite both of them being probably the best referee’s in the league.

If Trent shouldn't be red carded then where is the deterrent for outfield players saving goals on the line? If the ref plays advantage and doesn't come back to the incident then you go unpunished? Especially towards the end of a tight game, players may as well try to save it with their hands.

Taylor is from Manchester yet allowed to ref Man Utd and Man City games because he says he supports Altrincham.
