Is Open C still about ? Really enjoyed trying some of the ones he mentioned and found a few of my favorites thanks to him (an Oud thing called sahara i think and something called silver that's dirt cheap).

Got some Clinique moisturiser for Christmas, game changer. My face is softer than Steve Bruce’s paunch.

Looking back it doesn't look like OC is about anymore. Real shame, he seemed a top bloke.

Also would have asked him for some recommendations on woody, spicy fragrances. I'll have a trawl and hope somebody else has!

Spice & wood by creed. It’s expensive though. I only know because I’ve asked exactly the same question. There were more but I can’t remember, they’ll come to me though.

French lover by Frederic Malle was another.  Dry similar to the creed one iirc.

Aye picked up a load of them on a list, reckon I'll try and sample as many as I can next time I'm out on the high street.

Did you try any of those and (if so) what did you think?

Spice and wood is my go to scent like, it’s astonishing. Very distinctive, it’s expensive but a little goes a long way. The other one was nice enough but not quite as good imo. Get 5 or 10ml of spice and wood and I think you’re set. It sounds exactly what you’re after and you’ll not find better tbh.

Got Tom Ford Black Orchid for Christmas. It's so expensive that I barely use it. Saved for weddings mostly. What an amazing aftershave

So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Aye scentsamples are good, depending on what you want might be worth a look at Scent & Co too. £15 a month (can cancel anytime) and you get a 10ml bottle of whatever you choose, works out about half the price of scentsamples for something like Aventus.

Anyone else throwing in the towel re: beard trimming?

I usually go 3-4 weeks between haircut and beard trim. Been close to 5 now and unlikely I’ll get to the barber before June. I have the clippers but what’s the point?

I can trim around the ears and back of the neck etc, but I’m not going to attempt anything else. Left it longer on my last cut as well.

Think I’m going to go the other way.

Tidy beard, move towards awful version of Pirlo hair. Hate having my hair cut at the best of times never mind wor lass ruining it. Tempted by the dye n all. Preemptive.

Can’t go beard because of the N95. Need to get some clippers soon - it’s not pretty around the ears and neck
Obviously, I'm speaking of a hypothetical world in which there is a greater club than Tottenham.

Gonna have some head on me by the time the barbers opens again. Might be a good time to try a new hairstyle.

It's the end without the cord (and it's dead easy with a bit of practice - back of the neck for a haircut is another story . . .).

Also, whoever was asking about great woody fragrances, Tuscany by Aramis was always the one that worked best with me.
