Just finished the main card and with the exception of Vetori it was predictably rubbish. Actually the Fili fight was alright too. Eye v Calvillo though...

UFC 251 looks class, should be on at a decent time as well I think?

Na, same time for US market, unfortunately.

Wasn’t (pourier khabib I think?) on at like 9pm here?
Could it have feasibly climbed high enough to leave the atmosphere? ???

That was on at a much better time for us, but 251 is definitely a 3am main card start for the UK (6am in Abu Dhabi), probably something to do with the lack of gate.

Not fully sure about the 3 other regular Fight Nights over there, but think they are on at the same as the (US) PPV as well.

Yep, 4th and final UAE card on July 25th. Looking forward to that one.

Aye, it was a p*ss poor card. I haven't looked much at Blaydes v Volkov but if that's the main event I'm not hopeful at all.

I really like Vettori as a fighter though, I think he actually has given Adesanya his toughest fight yet. Hope he gets a ranked opponent next and makes a surge.

The co-main Emmett vs Burgos looks the best fight on that card IMO.

There perhaps does seem to be a more emphasis on quantity over quality at the moment in these regular Fight Nights, but I'm still happy they are putting stuff on, and it's been a hell of a lot better than boxing's return thus far. Top Rank's ESPN return last week was a damp squib, particularly the Tuesday card which was full of pointless 1/100 mismatches. The Fight Night card on August 1st does look a bit better as well.

This all said, can't wait for 251, and it's been confirmed it's on BT Sport 1. I feared they may try and sneak it on BT Box Office with the 3 world title fights, even if there isn't really a huge stand out draw on it.

Whittaker is going to maul Till man. Fair play to him for going for it mind. Not sure what he thinks he can do against Whittaker when Romero was hitting him with everything and still couldn't put him away.y

I love the Georgian dude on the prelims. I've caught his last two fights and he's relentless. He looks waaay older than 29 though...

He has an effective style. Punch and go for takedown in one movement.

Dvalishvili lacks power but is such a fun fighter to watch! His fight which he lost against Ricky Simon was sly as f*** after he'd brayed the s*** out of him for 3 rounds solid.

Emmet v Burgos was a great fight. It’s a shame Emmet is so dislikable, he’s a proper loud noun weirdo.

Big fan of Blaydes coming out to the Mortal Kombat theme tune.

Cant wait for Pourier v Hangman this weekend, should be class.
Could it have feasibly climbed high enough to leave the atmosphere? ???

Hooker could surprise me but I don't think he has a chance based on how badly beaten he was by Barboza who just isn't on Poirier's level.

Found this whole saga pretty sad. Especially hearing the fighters point of view on it.

There could have been 3 fight of the night bonuses just on the main event card last night.

Im not sure where Poirier goes from here unless Gaethje wins the belt. Maybe Ferguson? It should probably be McGregor but I don’t see them making that fight.

Yeah I think the only fight that makes sense for Poirier is him vs Ferguson or Conor. If Gaethje beats Tony so convincingly then I think Poirier does too.
