Like, the Shirley Plantation is now primarily a non-profit, tax exempt educational foundation, through an entity formed in 2008.

"Shirley Plantation is managed by the Shirley Plantation Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing this important piece of American history." http://www.shirleyplantation.com/about/

Not sure I'd count that as a continually run business.

It's still owned by the same slaver family.

 And apparently they barely mention the slaves that built and maintained the f***ing place during tours. Nice.

That place isn't the site of an atrocity, or anything. Have your wedding there! c***s.

I visited a couple in Louisiana.  One of them was definitely worth the visit.  It had been turned into a museum and memorial to the slaves, and the guide didn't even mention the owners.  It was very respectfully done in the same way Auschwitz is.  The other one was Gone With The Wind revisionist history bollocks.
