I always think of Burial and Solar Fields as the two distinct places that Future Sound Of London would have logically ended up depending on which muse they followed.  Prefer Solar Fields meself but when Burial is on form there aren't many can compete

Aye I hear you there like. Don't listen to FSOL as much as I should but I can't praise their first two albums enough. Both monoliths of the genre.

Proper Burial/FSOL rip off but I love it.

This is damn impressive

Basically Tomorrowland held its digital festival this weekend and most acts were greenscreened onto some stage. Eric though did his own thing.

Yes, my dude's name is dick bone.

Shades of Medwyn Goodall here / David Arkenstone if you ever fancied that. Not dance-y more ambient and treading overtly into new age but a better fit for this thread.

can't believe this thing came out in 99. I've given it a listen every year since at least. Feels like it's just this quiet masterpiece (for various people's definition ofc) flying out there.

This has finally appeared on Spotify (I'm sure it was never there before)

I mean, f***ing hell.  1988 [emoji38] Routinely held up as one of the most important tracks in the history of electronic music, and fair enough imo

Nice  but I wish Thom Yorke wasn't on them if I'm honest [emoji38] nowt against Tom Yorke, I just never feel like 'proper' vocals add anything to electronica

Yeah I wish these were without Thom Yorke too. The Burial moment starting at 5:13 on Her Revolution is absolutely beautiful as fleeting as it is. It reminds me a little of Come Down To Us which is peak Burial for me.

 never gave Autechre as much of a chance as I should have, they always strike me as a little bit too sterile but always happy to hear them all the same

TIL that this is where Little Fluffy Clouds came from (3.32, though it's hinted at all the way through)

Seeing Pat Metheny's name reminds me of this song of his

Heard it first off of the old "Hearts of Space" (hos.com) radio show episode "Space Guitars" in 85. Had no idea he was so prolific.
