I'm sure there was a memorabilia store in Monument Mall and it turned out the autographs on their items were fake

There was.

Moving back next week after 8 years away.  Apart from everything being closed now, has much changed?

Youd be best telling us after a few weeks.
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

All the old oil place at the Gateshead side of the Swing Bridge is gone :(  Not that it makes a whole lot of difference, I just miss seeing it there.

I can't think what else is gone or changed but I feel like it's quite a bit in eight years.  The top of Pilgrim Street for a start

Through to the second stage of interview for a permanent job in toon. Not 100% sure I want to take it, but during covid is probably a decent time to try permanent.
