The woman who murdered French philosopher Marat as he sat in his therapy bath (name: Charlotte Corday) was captured because a member of the French guard was able to grab her enormous breasts and detain her as she tried to escape.

He groped her then?

This was 18th Century France, there was no such thing.

Are you an expert on 18th cent french law or a time traveller.

He grabbed her tits!

I was just taking the p*ss and dismissing the French as raunchy, corrupt pigs, actually.

I know a fair bit about revolutionary France, I've had to study it a few times.

More British Soldiers died in the last year of WWI than in all of WWII.

Work is three times more dangerous than War, Drink and Drugs.

Honeybees have hair on their eyes.

Human thigh bones are stronger than concrete.

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

Like fingerprints, everyone's tongue print is different.

It takes more energy to eat a stick of celery than you actually gain from eating it.

Wasn't this proven to be an urban myth/dieter's dream?

Maybe, it's something I've heard before though. I've not really looked into it.

Funnily enough, I've not ever researched that, nor would I expect to find much on it.

The woman in question had just stabbed someone to death, so it's a minor detail really. The guard was trying to detain her and as she tried to escape he just grabbed her, and it 'so happened' to be her enormous chesticles that he grasped hold of.

Another Roman one.

The Roman Emperor, nor any Romans used the 'thumbs down' sign. Thumbs up meant to kill a gladiator, and iirc a closed fist was to spare their life.
