This "What If..." animated stuff could be amazing. Best announcement there by far.

Great way to bring in loads of random stories people want to see or bringing characters back without breaking cannon. Looks like most of the big names have signed on as voice actors too.

 What Ifs are normally fantastic

Makes sense having them as animated too. Keeps them separate in the heads of the general public who don't keep up with what's cannon and all that.

Wonder if they'll try and pinch half the DC animation department. Their stuff is usually good.

You can just do more with animation full stop IMO.

They'll not touch the bottom of DC's shoes when it comes to animation though. Marvel is far too family-friendly.

:fwap:

My only gripe with DC animation is that they never quite capture the intellectual prowess of comic Batman. Although you see it more when he's with the JLA  that looks quality though.

Strange as a horror and Shang Chi could be amazing too. Hoping Black Widow gives us something we've not had since Winter Soldier too with.

I've just got up to Shang Chi in the reading order, there's just a ton of random Kung Fu stuff once you get to the 1970s.

 Always a bit let down when it's the wrong Batman voice.

In, mind.

Wesley Snipes is 56 years old. Too old to play Blade now.

Still a young man, Blade would be 90 years old now. If they must change, I would give it to Sidney Poitier, and have him do a British accent.

Anyone watched The Boys yet? I'm hearing good things, although I'm not keen on Karl Urban's british / australian accent from the trailers.

Edit: saying that I've just had a look and he's from New Zeland

in the netflix/streaming thread being discussed

it's superb tv
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

:anguish: that’s s***. The MCU Spider-Man films have been among the best in the universe. And they’re miles better than any of Sony’s offerings (not including Spiderverse, but not really an apples-to-apples comparison.)

After that cliff hanger at the end of Far From Home too, guess they will be left hanging forever now. Absolute c***s.

Sony will Sony the f*** out of it. Spiderverse skipped under their control somehow and was superb but have no faith they can do it live action.

They've only hit a snag in negotiations as Sony wants more than what Marvel wants to pay. They'll find common ground sooner rather than later, one of them will break under pressure.
