Looks like more of the same s**** we got last season.

Thought it was slightly better until the end tbf, Whittaker is still s**** though. Her Doctor is badly written and she can't act.

I like her, it's a question of taste I guess. But I'm more than happy with her in the role.

Oh come on, we had David Tennant for years and he acted like he was on a bread advert...in a fake 'cokanee' accent.

The reveal was great.

Whittaker is great.

Hated having to wait so long between seasons is all.

I agree.
It is, after all, a a fantasy, sci-fi romp aimed at children.
Having said that, I am puzzled when people get so upset about a female doing an acting job.

The first episode was a bit naff, but I like the mystery surrounding the Time Lords.

That was wild.  They crammed half a season's worth of stories into the first one.  Spy thriller, aliens, you-know-who, two different historical settings, and an alien planet.  Whew!

Not a bad episode tonight. Standard series filler.

As much as I like to stand up for Chibnall's running of it, the last few minutes of preaching about trying to save the planet was just way too in your face. I think you can get the message across subtly without giving the Doctor a big speech about it.

That was absolute garbage, shame after last week proved that this version of the show can actually be good.

f***ing s***.
Everything about it is becoming preachy.
An episode about plastic pollution now.
I don’t mind one or two episodes that reflect on the current environment, but it’s the basis of every story now.
The scripts just seem to hashed together, like they have an idea on a topic they want to address and that’s it.
The characters are still f***ing wooden as f***. Mandip Gill’s character had a background written to make her a good character, she got a bit more of a role this time around, but usually she’s just standing in the background.
Having 3 companions doesn’t work, theirs too much going on, especially in single episodes.

Agreed.
It seems to have become a liberal box-ticking exercise under Chris Chibnall.
I can imagine Piers Morgan wanking himself into an anger-frenzy over this...

Very good end to what has been an overall, brilliant series.
