Thought he deserved his own thread and I'm sure there are some other fans out there.

There's definitely a thread about Gameswipe.  I love him anyway, always read his column and I think he's made some extremely watchable TV.  I was less keen on 'You Have Been Watching' than I was the '... Wipe' stuff but he still made a good fist of putting a new spin on a tired format.

Watched that on iPlayer last night, it was absolutely mint.

Charlie Brooker reminds me of this mate of mine so much, but this mate of mine hasn't seen any of Brooker's shows yet.  I keep recommending it like.

Was a class show. (Brooker's, not Edmunds's)

Haha Edmonds, aye. I can't believe how he was saying he did the show for free because it was some kind of personal moral crusade!

If you're wondering what that revolving noise is, it's the sound of John Lennon turning in his grave at 1000rpm.

That is a bit weird though, with this being "post something someone else was about to post" night as I had just spotted this on tvguide before you bumped this.

His articles in the Guardian have been pretty pish lately, but his latest one had me laughing out loud at work.

Take history. There's already far too much of it. In fact, mankind is generating a "past mountain", which grows 24 hours in size every single day. No one can be expected to keep all of that in their head. There simply isn't room. Even award-winning historians will be lost for words if you unexpectedly leap out in front of them and demand they list everything that happened on, say, 6 July 1919, before the special quiz music ends, especially if they thought they were alone in the house.

Just been watching this properly.

Really good as usual.  I wasn't sure about Barry Shitpeas at first, but he's one of my favourite things about the show now, brilliant.

looks like how you need to look if you want to knob konnie huq.
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.
