A total different kettle of fish fellas

Looking forward to this, just watched S4 & S5 the other week. Combo was absolutely class.

I only learned Martin Compston was Scottish prior to then too, bugs me a little as his accent is a bit off now I know. No idea why he the character couldn’t just be a Jock either.

Yeah I always found it strange how he can't just be Scottish in it

Especially when it’s hints at being midlands based and yet neither he nor any of the other main characters have Midlands accents.

Is it not because

I also think Martin's a class actor but find it funny as f*** how his character in LOD pulls all the birds when he's about a foot shorter than all of them. I always assumed that DS Arnott stood for Dinky Small Arnott.

Educating Yorkshire is about as accurate as you're going to get about comprehensive schooling in the NE right now. Not perfect but there or thereabouts.

Gillian Anderson is so good as Thatcher I think I hate her a bit.  It's a Daniel Day Lewis like transformation, she's just unrecognisable and has completely become the witch.

It's 11 seasons in and it's still going strong. It's still in its prime years imo.

Watching the TV edit of the original RoboCop. Highlights so far include "scumbag" being changed to "crumbag", Boddicker calling Bobby a "dipstick" and a "stupid stupid head", Murphy's death scene being cut to ribbons and Morton calling RoboCop a "bad mothercrusher".

Watched the series finale of Supernatural, fifteen years in... I'm not even going to pretend I didn't cry my heart out, been my guilty pleasure since I was a kid and I had the pleasure of directing God himself in the pilot I did back in 2017.

Don't even care that Covid f***ed up all the likely cameos that got dropped, having the balls of actually going with that ending instead of something open ended, kudos.

Carry on my wayward sons, thank you for fifteen years of mindless fun. Can't wait to see Jensen as Soldier Boy in The Boys.
But only in their dreams can men be truly free. It was always thus and always thus will be.

Getting through American Gods now. It’s really well made but it’s f***ing slow. Might be better off with the book.

Still, made it to where I gave up the first two times

I loved season 1, couldn't finish season 2. Such a waste of a show and lovejoy.
Making mistakes is how you learn.
Every generation must fight the same battles again and again and again. There is no final victory, and there is no final defeat, and so a little bit of history may help.

It was at least my attempt before I made it through season 1.

You're right, there's something about it, painfully slow at points. That just kills you by season 2 when the actual quality of the show drops.
