Joey Barton statement - 01/08/11:

"Somewhere in those high echelons of NUFC, they have decided, I am persona non grata. I am on a free but the honour of wearing those B+W stripes, surpasses that. One day the board might realise, what the shirt signifies. HONOUR and PRIDE. Thanks for your continued support."

should have been gone a year or so a go.
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

If you want Shearer, then the answer is obviously get rid, because that's what Al will do as soon as he gets the keys to the Manager's office.
RIP gejon/cajun/ Jon Lockwood.

Proud to have made your acquaintance Sir.

I wanted him gone, however the way the squad is now he is our best player by A DISTANCE OF SIGNIFICANT LENGTH (ie miles). With all the outgoings and no incomings, if we keep one of the high earners it should be him, although he will undoubtedly let us down with his temperament. He IS the BEST player in the entire Championship right now, and we cannot AFFORD or ATTRACT that level of class as things stand. All these factors lead to me voting KEEP.

He may very well be our best midfielder but he's done f*** all good since he's been here so why do people reckon he'll produce now?

1...at which point in the past has he proven himself to be our best ?

2...at which point did we say "i don't care how much of a t*** someone is providing we win".......can't be gone soon enough for me.

I'm with madras, when has he ever shown himself to be our best player?  I've never seen him play better than Smith did today.

Keep.

Anyone who has a go at Hughton is a top lad in my book.

And Smith was our MOM. Barton can create, something neither Nolan nor Smith can. He's a c*** but we need him.

Get rid. He's an arsehole who has had too many chances at this football club.

That crossfield ball he played when he came on was a beauty.
Sir John Hall: "I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over three days thrashing out a deal. I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this."

Look at past performances, not just for us, but for City and so on. Then compare to what we have.

I don't think he's our best player at the moment, but I reckon he could be, by a mile, as people say, put it that way.
