Don't be acting trendy
Hatem Ben Arfa -
I don't think he would have won us any more points than any of our current players.

After 9 losses and 1 draw in 10 matches under John Carver.

Got both wrong.
But...6 in a row. But...Calciopoli.

I reckon Haydn wears pure concentrated pheromones.

I was wearing JPG back in school like.  Lynx Africa?  f*** off, that was for the dregs.
You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

The smell of creosote (no idea if this is a thing in America as well, now illegal carcinogenic wood preserver thing) is my childhood one, along with the smell of many coal fires burning.

Unrelated and not really suitable for thread but I've often wondered if other large scale sporting events worldwide have quite the same aroma of mingled sweat, aftershave, farts and pies that British football does
You'll like this. Remember talking to a lad at work who was a rabid leaver, smart at his job but basically brainwashed to hate the EU and immigrants.

Anyway I asked him something one day and got a rant about how the EU banned creosote so he made his own 'proper' creosote by adding diesel. Diesel was the key you see, painting his fence without diesel was unacceptable and proof that his sovereignty had been eroded.
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

Stupid f***ing EU, banning useful but carcinogenic stuff :huff:

Might have been oil, it was something f***ing insane that a sane person would think 'aye that shouldn't be on fences'.

As stated though this was a guy probably getting paid £800 a day and was convinced immigrants were to blame for everything because EU.

Creosote, man, the very word sends shivers down my spine. My mam was a nurse and she once told me about the worst thing she'd ever seen and it was some bloke who'd been creosoting his fence and decided to stand back and admire his day's work with a tab. Whoosh, human torch. When he got to the ER it was just waiting for the daft f***er to croak.

This is totally the wrong thread for that memory. It was the 1950s so can't even blame the EU for it. Tricky continental b******s.
:) As you were.

On a slightly brighter note was just watching White Man In Hammersmith Palais and the French soustitres did Hey, man as "Hé, man". Tickled me. Must go to bed.
