8 games to get 4+ points with a favourable fixture list. Deserve to go down if we can't manage that

Even if we’d have lost we’d still be okay. Cardiff won’t get more than 34 points and we would have had at least another win in us.

The run of the 4 games from Palace will see us ok and hit 40 points
and now Tudor's gone down for Newcastle

So you've gone down to a 6 then?

Probably a 4 I've seen too many NUFC catastrophes to drop to a 3 or 2. I do think the 3rd bottom team will get 35 or 36 though

So you actually think that there's a 40% chance that we will drop now? If you have a fundamental lack of understanding of the rules of percentage, then fair enough. Otherwise, that is just a bit absurd.

No mate I was purely being sarcastic to your original comment. Id be f***ing amazed if we somehow went down from this position if we cant manage to get 6 points from 24 then quite frankly we deserve to go down based on who we have left to play

 Fair enough then. You've developed a bit of a reputation of being a bit pessimistic, so it can be tricky to tell.

Having over 40 years of the rollercoaster of NUFC under my belt you develop a level of pessimism. Been so close to thinking this time we are going to do something then being hoofed in the nuts

Got to say after our home form at the start of the season I was convinced that would f*** us over in the latter stages but fair play to everyone winning 5 on the bounce if we can make it 7 we are safe simple as that
and now Tudor's gone down for Newcastle

Cardiff have Chelsea, City, Man Utd and Liverpool. They are f***ed.

Warnock has done well to have them competing, mind.
Sir Bobby Robson: “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”

Cardiff, Southampton, Brighton, and Palace don’t play a league game next weekend, perfect opportunity to increase the gap.

Just looked at Cardiff fixtures and they are so hard, not a  chance they can pull it back on us.

Cardiff had to win yesterday or they were doomed.

Suppose they are thinking, if they can win the 3 easier fixtures it might be enough. Burnley away is big in April.

And considering how good Shelvey and Diame were in the second half of the season, to do it without them is incredible.

I'm not worried even if we hit bad form I would expect us to get at least another 3 or 4 points from our last few matches. Burnley look the most vulnerable at the moment outside the relegation zone they have hit bad form at the wrong time.

If Cardiff’s remaining fixtures weren’t so grim you’d have to fear for Burnley but I just can’t see Cardiff doing anywhere near enough from here on in.
