I think I usually use 10-15 a month, but a huge amount of that must be social media. Just maps and Spotify apart from that I would guess.

I use very little, in comparison. Don't do Instagram, very rarely browse Facebook, on Twitter a lot though. I've got Spotify Premium so download tracks at home to play offline when i'm out. 3gb each month is fine for me.

Reports that Google have revoked the Android licence for Huawei. (Existing and future devices)

Just ordered the P30 Pro yesterday 😂 am fairly sure there’s a 2 week cooling off period with the network so not too worried.

in the bin, don't delay in case the chinese get your data
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

I’d assume if a carrier sold you a device on contract. Or a store even, that was based on the proviso that it was an android device you were being sold, you’d be fully entitled to a refund?

Quite a significant step taken by Google I guess. Not at all put out about being trashed by the P30 camera compared to its new Pixel phone 🙂

Existing phones are ok but will lose access to future OS updates and security patches.

It's to do with trump, Google do not want to this as Huawei is a major customer for Android.

No as your not losing access to Android as that is an open license, it's the services associated with it which have to go through Google and manufacturers pay Google to access.

I suppose that’s not as bad, but still. Would you buy a top of the range phone knowing it would never get a firmware or security update?

I’m with apple, have been for the last 4 or 5 years. 5, 5s, SE, 7Plus and 8Plus and it’s boring as f***. I hate getting a new phone and then it’s exactly like the old one once it switches on.

But I’d sooner put up with that and general lack of innovation for the stability you know you’ll get with iOS. Am I wrong?

Not saying iOS couldn't be better, it could. Just that Android is f***ing s***(ter).

Android is open source so they'll be able to integrate the security fixes and updates after they've been released, they just won't have access to the pre-release code like all the other manufacturers do. The next versions of their phones won't be able to use Google play or any Google services though which is pretty much a death sentence for an Android phone outside China.

Android is much better than iOS you tramp.

Surely it's still grounds for a contract cancellation for anyone who bought a Huawei recently then?

The US are absolutely f***ed now when it comes to 5G as you need some Huawei infrastructure for it.

I'm with Kaiz tbf (and my phone is android). Ios is so much more polished and reliable it's not funny. It's more locked down, yes, but that's the price you pay for 100% rock solid performance.

My iPhone SE never freezes or crashes, comparing this to my girlfriends Pixel 2, who's mic doesn't work on calls and who's Spotify crashes all the time, I'm probably a proponent of the stability of iOS. It's certainly more restricted, but I literally only go on apps and use the camera on my phone anyway. I'm hardly a web developer.

yeah i wasn't serious, with the bairn getting to phone age and already having them i'm thinking might be time to jump back to make things easier but the costs are disgustingly prohibitive like

Both iOS and Android have their pluses and negatives but Android is the best system worldwide since it's allowed many people to be able to buy a smartphone who would never had to because of the ridiculous profit margins that Apple want on each device.

But to say Android is s*** is absolutely ridiculous.

i mean i can afford it at the moment but the principle of paying £1000 for a f***ing phone puts me right off, can get a premium android for half the price
