Well "Joe Root - England all rounder" ended before it begun.

Credit to these two South Africans for going out like Vikings, love nothing more than the yolo slog from the tail in a lost cause.

Absolutely no need for that run.

Very good win for England, just need to keep this consistency now.

Root has been terrific as captain this series , except for this morning when he chased his fifth wicket way longer than he should. The over with the new ball was as funny as I've seen. But definite improvement in him as captain this tour  . Great to see Mark Wood bowling so well and hostile too.

Captain Haircut must have kicked his tv screen in.

Can't blame Root for going for the fifth given we had so long in the day to pick up the remaining wickets. And cos the forecast had improved.

Very good win that, utterly thrashed them.

When was the last time we won by an innings does anyone know?

He tweaked his elbow in the warm up. Would have played.

Good opening stand thus far, even if it is slightly lucky.

Harsh on Bess but mustn't be due to turn a lot.

Last time England reached 100-0 in first innings, the current opening batsmen were 10 and 12 respectively.

Saffies not attempting to stop the singles, pitch while quick , is a bit up and down. These 2 , are batting very sensibly. Archer would have been lethal if fit on this.
