In your calculation cell type '=x*cellref'

Where x is the number of points for a win and cellref is the reference of the cell you type the number of wins in.

I take it you've never used Excel before?

If you want it to autosort the table with the leaders etc then i've no idea, it gets very complicated. That's why I used one I found on the net for the PES6 league.

Not arsed about autosort or stuff, just want it so when i type in a number, e.g 9, it then appears in the point section as 27

You've created a formula that refers to a result that depends on the formula you've just made, so it can't find an answer.

If you look at the screengrab, you've put a reference to D10 in cell D10 itself. It can't find an answer.

All I meant originally is that if someone now goes ahead, you'll have to cut and paste their row into the correct position manually, as getting Excel to do it for you is complicated.

Might as well get it to do goal difference for you whilst you're learning the basics. ;)

In cell I10 type '=G10-H10'.

I've done this before but can't remember how to do it anymore.

Say I update a spreadsheet is there any way that I can auto publish the same file as a .html on a shared location somewhere? As with work I have to update a certain report then save it as .html for other people to view on a shared location.

Just being a total lazy b****** really but I have done it before.

Why don't you just whack it up on to Google docs?

It's to go on one of the shared drives at work for the plebians to view.

Sorted this? If it's a shared drive why can't you just upload the .xls file onto the drive for downloading?
