Fixed my blocked posts I wondered where everybody had been! This is good to know: It's ridiculous to have 551 friends and only 25 are allowed to see my post. I ignored this post earlier, because I didn’t think it worked. It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years. Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed. Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts. Therefore, Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste. This will bypass the system.

First reply is "can you do mine when you come round later?"

Bypass algorithms by copy and pasting a post about bypassing algorithms by copy and pasting a post?

I reported a comment for the first time last night.

Because of the nature of my job, I keep tabs on local neighbourhood groups, meaning I inevitably end up reading a load of gammony garbage. I actually come up sometimes too, which is always a giggle.

Anyhow, responding to a status calling Meghan Markle an evil bitch who should p*ss off back to the US cos she's ruining Harry; some bloke called Marc described her as a 'mongrel' - but that 'some rough blood mixed with pure breed can sometimes produce good pups'.

I'd have thought both dehumanising someone and being racist would be grounds for Facebook to remove the comment but apparently it wasn't. Unless using the word 'mongrel' to describe a person of mixed race isn't racist?

So raise your fists and march around

It's got to be closed down, it's nothing but a forum for hate and division.

If you haven't got a pedigree, you're a mongrel. Whilst it could be used as a racist insult, by the ignorant, it's not really about skin colour. It's about the purity of your bloodline.

Personally I'd be horrified to discover my family was a bunch of inbreeding c***s.

f*** me. Broadly avoided FB for years, just checking it out for family and friends abroad. Been on it far too long this week and Jesus Christ, is it always like this? Don't PM me, I know the answer.

I think thick people are the only ones that still use Facebook the way it was originally intended
"Lots of young fellas runnin' around in shorts, that's the kind of think you like looking at, and I bet you like that too, only you're probably imagining what they'd look like without shorts, you're sitting there imagining that with a big smile on your face, ya dirty fecker"

For example, someone I work with who is a really good nurse but maybe a bit earnest (works night shift) posts regularly about her faith. That's pretty common over here relative to the UK, and fair enough. Only, she's just posted something about "strong, faith-filled leaders like Franklin Graham" with a Fox News insert about USNS Comfort. Again, fair enough...except Franklin Graham - among other things - is a notorious homophobe, something that has manifested repeatedly and occasionally in a very ugly fashion. I want to ask her about this, but (a) it's a difficult time for nurses, obviously and (b) it's the sort of thing much better discussed face-to-face. You know, just to clarify with her whether she thinks my friends Norman and Mark are going to burn in Hell for eternity, and point out I'm not happy with that.

It shouldn't go unchallenged, but this really doesn't feel like the right forum, or time.
