Freddy Shepherd was not available today, and no-one at the club was able to comment on the fact that the chairman's wife Lorelle was taken to hospital with a heart problem on Sunday about the same time as United were losing to Middlesbrough.

Aye, of course she did Oliver. Yakubu scored and at the exact same time she had a heart problem. f*** off and get your head out the fat mans arse will you.

Alan Shearer:

404 games for Newcastle - 206 goals
63 Caps for England - 30 goals
733 career games - 379 goals
Newcastle's all time leading goalscorer
Ended his career by scoring against the scum in a 4-1 win
Turned Man United down, but lived the dream Alan Shearer=TRUE LEGEND

well it might be true. if it is then it is fairly underhand to use that to buy him sympathy. she's got nowt to do with the way he runs the club so leave her out of it.

If she was taken ill during the match why didn't he up and travel back to Newcastle?

The timing stinks, it's pathetic really.

"Hello, Bobby," he once greeted his England captain, Bryan Robson.

"I'm Bryan," the skipper replied. "You're Bobby."

Best wishes to his wife.

But like its been said, if he doesn't want a sympathy vote why is it being mentioned?

Utter tripe trying to guilt trip us.

And in other news today, former Chairman of Newcastle United Freddie Shepherd had his Greggs pasty removed in an operation surgeons are calling the most difficult theyve ever faced

Hmm.  This'll be the same Freddie who showed so much feeling for his wife when he was caught at that brothel in 1998.  What a diamond.
