Palermo are a very good team - Italy's equivelent of Sevilla IMO, they had quite a few members in Italy's world cup winning squad

Cannavaro was so ****ing good tonight.

Who was at the back with him? Helguera or Ramos (or Meija blueeek.gif)

Were Zambrotta and Thuram playing?

They dont have a depth of talent in their squad, they more or less play with the same team, they got no-one who can come on and change things. If Kaka and Pirlo don't play well then they're pretty much f***ed

Cannavaro played in the middle with Helguera, Ramos at right back. As an entire 11 they defended superbly, but Cannavaro was just different class.

Zambrotta and Thuram both played, yeh.

ok, a more detailed rant.

Iniesta starting ahead of Edmilson, no defensive midfielder = disaster.

Marquez not starting.  Easily the best defender at the club.

Waiting about 65 b****** minutes before taking Gudjohnson off.  Absolutely f***ing useless so he was.

Ronaldinho.  The way he was playing you'd think he just wasn't arsed.  Always looking for a simple pass and getting rid of the ball instead of trying to beat people or shoot.

Messi and Xavi were the only players who played well, well, outfield players. Valdes was excellent and saved it from being 4.

Messi is just unreal, going to be better than Ronnie.

It was a great game well worth watching, Real Madrid were definately the better all over the field, their  defence was just awesome today if only our guys could just half what they do I would be happy.
