Imagine if Honda hadn't f***ed off. With development that car could have been unreal. Vettel may have 0 WDC's now but then Lewis could still be on 1 with Button on several. Formula 1 is a strange sport.

I just tend to concentrate my interest on the midfield battle. That's much more interesting.

It's quite rare for one team not to dominate in F1. Williams, Benetton, Ferrari, Red Bull and now Mercedes have all had long periods of domination over the last 40 years. The seasons where a few teams were in contention for the title are the exception rather than the rule unfortunately.

Disagree in this. Of course there were dominant cars before, but this is most likely a season were every single race is won by Mercedes. Most of them double victories.
Even when Alonso dominated 2005-2006 there were 4-5 different winners. And during Schumacher's best seasons they didn't win all the races. 90's is a totally different. Lots of good teams and drivers.

And for a hardcore fan the midfield battle may be fascinating, for a random not so much. But yea I am just whining. :D

Did 10 minutes in a Ferrari F1 simulator on Friday.  Really good, you feel the back is always sliding despite having tons of downforce.  Doesn't do g force but you get all the wobbles bumps etc.

Hard on Bottas at the end. To be ahead in the same car but have such poor tyres when the crunch comes has to be infuriating.

Capitalism tries for a delicate balance: It attempts to work things out so that everyone gets just enough stuff to keep them from getting violent and trying to take other peoples stuff.

Masterclass from Lewis today it was a boring race at the front but honestly probably one of his best drives when you consider tyre management after the last 2 races and it must have demoralised Bottas so much.  Max is obviously class and he will win many world titles.  Max and Hamilton are in a class of their own.  I can't wait to see a proper title fight between them.

Max needs a rear gunner, they have to get someone faster into that 2nd Red Bull seat.

It's become s*** to watch again though. Mercedes are utterly superb but their brilliance has made it a procession most races. The same driver in the same car (as good as they are) winning week after week makes the spectacle really, really dull. You're relying on rain or tyres exploding to create interest. Once the excitement and uncertainty goes then the general interest will too.

He does. they would have had 2nd and 3rd today if they had DR there for example.  They should take Russell.

True but the Spanish GP has always been s**** mind.

Remaining tracks minus sochi will be much better.

I really like Formula 1 but I switched off after 3 laps today and checked the result later. No surprises 3 hours later. I know there sometimes is a surprise but I'm just not invested. It's a s*** spectacle more often than not.

Thier is not a word. "Their" is the correct spelling.

Win, Lose or Draw. NOT "Loose"!

In all fairness to the drivers who went through that red light, the lights were on the corner, at that speed you have already set your line for entering the pitlane.

No idea why they pitted Lewis so earlier, should have done it on the 3rd lap.

I’m guessing that they are hoping for a safety car to come out during the rest of the race so Hamilton can get closer to them.

I really do question why they had to pull out safety car to push car down into pit lane when it was a 10 yard push to marshal area.
