Poor f***er.

Yeah, imagine how bad that must be.

Will allow him, and the millions like him, to play the martyr (their favourite activity) and further delegitimise racism (their second favourite). Absolutely massive win for them and will be hugely empowering for their cause.

If everyone joins his side on this he won’t be a martyr. It would be a good move politically for the left to stick up for him (though obviously not the interview).

Poor Grimesy, looking forward to him ramping up the grift once he’s cleared of any misconduct. We’re going to have this little shithead polluting our screens even more when those alt-right news channels launch in the UK

  What a perfect swerve.  It's like that sitcom trope where the boss is talking about how he chose the leader of his new project, they're inventive, kind, intelligent (shot of character smiling and trying to look modest), of course it's... (other character) *shocked face*

So, it's black history month isn't it David, and of course there's nobody better placed on our team to to tell us about it that than... white bald guy joining by videolink.

To be fair I do understand why, there aren’t many people that will know the history of British boxing more than Bunce. There had to be a better way to do that though.

Thought this an interesting read from Matt Taibbi:

https://taibbi.substack.com/p/the-left-is-now-the-right

I know he rubs some up the wrong way though.

EDIT: Didn't realise it was  a few months old, but still.
Making mistakes is how you learn.
Every generation must fight the same battles again and again and again. There is no final victory, and there is no final defeat, and so a little bit of history may help.
“What power have you got? Where did you get it from? In whose interests do you exercise it? To whom are you accountable? And how can we get rid of you?” If you cannot get rid of the people who govern you, you do not live in a democratic system.
That is why no one with power likes democracy and that is why every generation must struggle to win it and keep it – including you and me, here and now.

I recall when those Charlie Hebdo attacks happened the UK media refused to show the cartoons in news items and debates. The terrorists got what they wanted.

Mental that people are being beheaded in the name of religion, in 2020. Tragic.

Agreed.
On the other hand lots of people looked them up , many more than would have seen them had the attack not happened.

Further down the line it may have stopped people publishing stuff like that and may have pushed others into doing it.
Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.
