Outlook problem - not able to send or receive emails

Hi guys - Im hoping someone can help.

I pay for 'email essentials' with godaddy and Ive changed my email password in my godaddy account dashboard but now I cant send or receive emails in outlook.

I believe i need to change my password in outlook (the application) but i cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do this! Ive tried the web, ive tried godaddy help pages but the screen shots are different or the instructions dont apply. Its now got me completely exasperated.

Ive tried reinstalling, setting up a 'new' account with outlooks account settings but nothing seems to work.

Are you getting any error message when you are sending receiving?

Have you tried outlook in safe mode?

There are no error messages. it says its connected to microsft exchange and everything appears normal - i just cant send or receive.

will try safe mode......

Cant get into safe mode - it states outlook has encountered an error and needs to close. it gives me the option to 'repair' but when it click it outlook closes and when i reopen, its the same again.

Ive also tried using another client, called mailbird, that hasnt worked either. do you think this suggests a problem at the godaddy end rather than my end?

Looks like Ive been phished.

Every incoming email has been sent to my deleted email folder.

ive also received emails saying because ive been sending spam, i cant send amy more emails. this email went to my delected email folder too which is why i havnt seen it.

Do you not have option for WebMail as well?  I prefer outlook's webmail client to the desktop version nowadays.

I use the webmail version for my personal email but use the desktop version for work
