Not sure who's worse, the "Millions of people are dying, you're being lied to" lot, or the "It's just the flu, it's nothing, they're just trying to scare you, you're being lied to" lot.

It's not the end of the world but it's not nowt either.  From what we've seen so far around 15% of those infected develop symptoms severe enough to warrant hospitalisation.  Outside of Hubei, those who have been hospitalised have generally been doing ok as you can see in the much lower death rates in those provinces.

The problem comes when so many get infected that it completely overwhelms the health system (as in Hubei) and, with the way this spreads, that's a danger for even the most industrialised nations.  That's why containment is such a priority at the moment.  Contain the spread, give us time to get a treatment sorted and ease the pressure.

Yeah, there's 50k dead.  50,000 dead bodies rocked up and nobody noticed.  Stop with this s**** already for f***s sake.

Man, you definitely know that the network in Wuhan has been cut off already. People are hiring 4000RMB per night just for transferring dead bodies to incinerator.

No way you can say the number given out by PRC Gov is real. Not saying it’s as much as 50K but I won’t be surprised if that’s true.

Aye but when you make claims of withheld information, whilst offering information that has supposedly been withheld, it's fair to question your sources. Propaganda [and i'm not suggesting anything at all] has many sharp edges.

Yea all those info are only “leaked” out by people inside PRC by proxy. Feel free to question them. The point is if you think this is propaganda against PRC then I wanna ask do you know using proxy to browse website that aren’t PRC origin is illegal?

And you still don’t question the reliability of info given out by PRC? Serious?

Ok, so to sum up, you live in HK so you know the REAL numbers because, I don't know, you have twitter or something?

Great, glad you let us know.  There is a thread for wacky conspiracy theories knocking around somewhere btw.

When and where did I say I know the real numbers? I just say it’s f***ing common and logical to question the numbers given out by the PRC government.

And yes, you just said “why would people not notice there are 50K people dead”. Now tell me who the f*** and who the hell could anyone trace those that are transferred to the temp hospital which is under control by army instead of the health dept? Don’t tell me you don’t know this. This is confirmed by PRC gov.

So you got nothing?  Great.

Tell you what, if there's that many people dying then we should start seeing the old folks on that cruise ship dropping like flies any time now.  Betcha they don't.

And you got one thing incorrect. It’s not the number of deaths that you are mislead. It’s the number of total infection. You are idiot if you truly believe only 60K people got infected in PRC by now. Nevermind the miraculous 2.1% death rate which is “constant” everyday. The virus knows how to do maths lol

3rd consecutive day the rate of new confirmed infections has dropped.  Hopefully might get out of this f***ing village in a few weeks.

If they're lying about the number of infections, not deaths, then that percentage is exaggerated.

Both China and Youtube have worked hard to stop videos being shared. That early spate of recordings was pretty scary though. People walking through corridors and wards counting bodies, doctors and nurses having breakdowns etc.

Regarding the death toll you have to take into account the lag in time between diagnosis and death. How many bodies that make up today's death toll were accounted for in last week's confirmed cases number? It's very possible that the fatality rate is higher than 2-3%.

Another complication to consider is that whilst you might think China's average life expextancy of 76 years gives some indication of how healthy the people are generally, it doesn't. No one in China dies when they're 76. They die of asbestosis and lung plague when they're 36 or they die at 106 after a tea and Tai Qi session. It's hard to tell who's dying.

Taxi driver in Japan test positive for the virus despite having no symptoms.  He'd recently been to a party on a boat with 80 other taxi drivers

Reckon Japan will start seeing increases soon but the good news is it seems fairly mild in those who have got it outside of Hubei so far.

Rate has dropped because everyone infected can't report that they're infected because they couldn't leave their welded up houses because they're also dead.
