Sounds like Joelinton wasn't the main issue today, but feel like there's a cyclical failure at this football club in trusting young lads to lead the line on their own in their first season, like Mitro in 15/16
We've literally no midfield

Stunning PL debut from Bentaleb so far.

He's the most un-noticeable footballer i've ever seen.
Was invisible today

"Great defending lads, we managed to limit the opposition to just 15 attempts on goal."

We're too deep for everything. When we defend corners we put all 11 in our own box so there's no out for example. It's just pathetic and cowardly.

"Great defending lads, according to the XG data, the opposition were twice as likely than us to score."

 Just means the ball comes straight back to us. At least put ASM or Almiron near the halfway line. We did the same under Rafa and Antia too mind and were terrible at defending corners.

He's an absolute clown

"Sustained 15 goal attempts".

Had to Google what "sustained " meant to make sure I wasn't being stupid.
Why not just use the word "defended"  ?

He makes that sound like a positive. We were letting them have a shot every 6 minutes on average. That’s not good defending.

If your keeper in man of the match after 15 shots against the bottom team in the league, then that is certainly not good defending.

Yeah, thinking about it I can see what he meant now, but he's shooting his own argument in the foot there

Someone needs to ask Ryder if we would have been better off sustaining 20 Norwich attempts or even more.  I can't, I'm blocked for calling him thick.

We only ‘sustained’ 16 shots at goal in the three home matches against the relegated teams last season. We’ve faced 28 just against Norwich & Watford at home. If we add Bournemouth since they’re the next lowest team we’ve faced at home it’s 44 shots against us. It’s a miracle we are where we are.

There’s a vast amount of thick c***s in this country but this one is very near the top.
Had a few dances off her when I've been in Blue velvet with friends. She's one of the ones who will push her fanny in your face, usually I like that but hers smells f***ing rotten. Only had dances off her because she agreed to take less money for the dances when me and my mate said we were skint.

I was a pure creep when I was a kid tbf. Used to spunk in deoderant can lids too

just seen the extended highlights on .co.uk.
how on earth have they managed to make it look even close to an even game?
john gibson in the chronicle this afternoon;
"John Carver has talked of playing two up top in an effort to score goals, tactically be more direct to grind out points, and just about every other possibility known to man or beast. They are the ramblings of a drowning desperado."
