ASM supposedly had discipline and attitude problems prior to coming here too. Lads the most wholesome person in world football now ;)

The Bruce effect....

I actually think it's got a lot to do with Lascelles. There was obviously the Diame incident, the Janmaat one when we went down. He's clearly a good captain.

Don't believe that at all, probably just a different environment he's in now which suits him.

Good player, just what we need in midfield.

Does that mean he can run box to box and pass the ball accurately?

Not one to get too carried away with youtube clips, but that looks very much the case watching his Shalke highlights.

Looks a really good move. Especially as he originally came from the premier league and is still just 25.

I'll be watching the games, and I'll be talking about the teams. If it's a disaster it will be quite humorous and exactly what Mike Ashley deserves and to be honest I'll quite enjoy it. I am totally indifferent to results and the team success going forward.

Now, in certain games should the team do well, I will be happy more for the players, because I feel bad for them mostly, and I still want to see some of them do well. I will still feel comfortable giving the team credit when they do well. I just don't care about any outcome at this point and none of my money goes into anything to do with Mike Ashley's operations.

Can't believe he's only 25, I'd have said about 32.

Can vaguely remember liking his style at Spurs.

Gonna be interesting how Bruce fits Shelvey, Hayden, two Longstaffs and Bentaleb into his matchday squad when we only play with 2 centre mids

Unless he plans to send Matty out on loan which would be daft

Really? Nice new contract and a loan to a promotion chasing Championship club would be brilliant for him.

He's been better than Sean this season. I'd be reluctant to send him out currently when Sean is playing poorly, Shelvey looks whacked, Bentaleb is a bit of an unknown and Hayden is being asked to fill in in defence

This is a club with no intention of pushing for Europe and likely to stay up. Bentaleb and one of the other three (with Ki in an emergency) will help secure that coverted 16th place. Might as well send him to someone like Forest or Sheff Wed for regular football which he’s never had.

Always thought he was fairly decent at Spurs. No idea what's happened to him in Germany but quite excited by this tbh.

Did my "he refused to learn German" comment get bypassed then? Because he refused to learn German.

Why aren't we using Ki?

Bruce don't fancy him like.

Yeah I saw the Schalke clip, he looks a very good player on that, but also a bit of a potential headcase which could be interesting with Bruce in charge.

to be fair Bruce is handling ASM well if he really does have an attitude problem. Classic case of player on cheap cos managers don't like it but to be fair to Bruce (Shudder) one thing is clear is players do like him. We clearly do need midfielders since ours can't keep ball or are really to young to be relied upon game in game out. Ki deserves more time mind but doubt we'll see him

One of the reasons possession is s*** is because we can’t keep the ball. Apart from Hayden there’s little real mobility in there with positional sense. Midfield is a big weakness imo.

We don't play the one player we have who can keep possession (Ki)
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

Aye, we have a midfield that struggled to boss games in the Championship.
