We're clearly riding some luck and Dubravka is having a very good spell. Can't see the luck in particular lasting.

I don't hate Bruce but also have no interest in watching any interviews with him. Soft spot for a fair few of the players (utterly pumped for Miggy ) so find it hard to turn off completely or celebrate losses.

We play a bit like Palace actually. Give the ball to Zaha and hope he produces something.

That celebration and that kids reaction is why I can never totally switch off, he's going to be buzzing from being part of that and won't get a better feeling until he has his first shag.

We're s***, we're very lucky atm but we can still provide a moment like that. So f*** you ashley you can't take that away

Manquillo today. f***ing immense. motm with Dubs. what a turnaround. (and no, its nowt to do with Bruce).
john gibson in the chronicle this afternoon;
"John Carver has talked of playing two up top in an effort to score goals, tactically be more direct to grind out points, and just about every other possibility known to man or beast. They are the ramblings of a drowning desperado."

Great ball in from Schar. Made it look more simple than it is. If Yedlin had hit that.......

Was the only decent cross we produced all game, couldn't believe how poor our crossing was.

Didn't think it was Schar or Fernandez best games but another clean sheet for them

Yedlin would have tapped it back to Schar though

Had we had this exact performance and result under Rafa everyone would be saying how much of a genius he is and you all know its 100% true.

I still dislike Bruce, understand ultimately hes a s**** manager and we are going nowhere under him but I'm not going to pretend that the football was any better for large parts of last season either.

Somehow, and I dont understand how, the team are playing for him and he is picking up results, I don't expect it to last but we are doing extremely well on paper.

Lies. All. Lies.
I'll be watching the games, and I'll be talking about the teams. If it's a disaster it will be quite humorous and exactly what Mike Ashley deserves and to be honest I'll quite enjoy it. I am totally indifferent to results and the team success going forward.

Now, in certain games should the team do well, I will be happy more for the players, because I feel bad for them mostly, and I still want to see some of them do well. I will still feel comfortable giving the team credit when they do well. I just don't care about any outcome at this point and none of my money goes into anything to do with Mike Ashley's operations.

What happens on the pitch isn’t really relevant to the Bruce discussion. The main point is that he’s a symbol of a pointless football club.

I take your point. But if he was underachieving (in terms of results/points) by as much as he’s overachieving at the moment, I’m not sure anyone would be saying that?

With Almirons goal yesterday - have we now had a goal scorer in every position when playing 3-4-3? (Not including Dubravka)

I've seen it described as 3-5-2 but at times we looked like we were playing 4-4-2 with Hayden right midfield and Dummett left midfield with Lejeune left back and manquillo right back.
