First game Huddersfield against Birmingham maybe in 1966 as we lived there at the time. Lots of A.S.Cannes games, saw both Viera and Zidane when they were really young. Used to go and watch Marseilles play at Monaco just to watch the annual invasion of the principality.

Saw a very dull Mallorca against Real Madrid with Ronaldo playing. My Spanish is not great, Catalan even less and Mallorquin inexistent but apparently they were singing some very rude songs about Mourinho who was manager at the time.

Loads of Coventry games back in the day, including their most famous ever, the 87 Cup Final. Once went to Old Trafford with a mate to watch Man U play West Ham in the late 80's. My mate's lad was on the books at Villa as a youth so we had free tickets to see them occasionally , once sat directly behind the Arsenal bench with Dennis Bergkamp directly in fron of me , during Rioch's reign. Nuneaton vs Smoggies in the Cup, good day out was that. Love a day in Nuneaton, it's like going back to the 70's
RIP gejon/cajun/ Jon Lockwood.

Charlton Athletic vs Norwich City, Boxing Day 1997
Durham City vs Bedlington Terriers sometime in the early 2000s
Chester-le-Street vs someone or other around the same time
New York Red Bulls vs Real Salt Lake in 2008
Various Burton Albion games when I lived and worked there in 2014
Gateshead vs Cambridge United (playoff final) in 2014
Napoli vs Roma in 2016
Hertha Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017
Various Carlisle United games when I lived and worked there 2015-17

Done England senior and u21 games when they've been in the NE (Albania and Ukraine at SJP/u21s vs Turkey at the stadium of s****) then England vs Slovakia and Sweden vs Belgium at Euro 2016 too.

Had a few dances off her when I've been in Blue velvet with friends. She's one of the ones who will push her fanny in your face, usually I like that but hers smells f***ing rotten. Only had dances off her because she agreed to take less money for the dances when me and my mate said we were skint.

I was a pure creep when I was a kid tbf. Used to spunk in deoderant can lids too

Sydney FC v Newcastle Jets in 2012
Sat in the away end when backpacking in oz, I was gutted to be missing the one decent season we've had in years back home. Jets were wearing black and white stripes and won 5-2. I was pretending to myself it was the oz version of the wearside derby, with Sydney and Newcastle being near each other

Thought I’d add a little with each game.

Tottenham vs Sporting Lisbon - 2010 - This game was a pre season friendly double header with Man  City - NY Redbulls playing after. Gareth Bale was the standout player. He didn’t do much but he beat a man with a piece of skill and it was like ‘oh yeah, he is supposed to be good’. This was right before he stepped his levels up.

NY Redbulls vs Man City - 2010 - Think the standout players during this game were Emmanuel Adebayor and Adam Johnson. My brother stupidly screamed ‘John Terry’ when Wayne Bridge walked by. He was under the impression you could just say anything at football games. Luckily he didn’t hear him. Tbf he felt bad about it right after.

Argentina vs United States - 2011 - Messi was the standout player for sure. Everything he did was just so quick. Players would get the ball off him for a millisecond but messi would get it straight back off of them. Mascherano was also exceptional. He was pinging diagonals left and right. Pinpoint accuracy. Every pass went straight to a man. Ran the show.

Tottenham vs Swansea - 2013 - My first Premier League game. I was so excited. It was absolute s****. Game finished 1-0. Soldado pen. Andros Townsend was probably the most effective player on the pitch. I remember Danny Rose having a really poor attitude. He’s expend unnecessary energy getting upset and moaning about.

NYC FC vs Orlando City FC - 2017 - Really poor game. It was weird because NYC were the home team but were wearing their away kit which is grey and Orlando were wearing white instead of their usual purple so it was really hard to tell what was going on.

Roma v AC Milan. Stadium was half empty and  isn’t great, this was just after a couple of English fans had been stabbed in Italy too, so felt a bit dodgy.

Saw Red Star Belgrade win the league title at home. Fans were crazy, setting off flares and fireworks throughout the game. Although they spent more time protesting against Kosovo than celebrating winning the league.

Saw Albania v Lichtenstein in Elbasan, which is an absolute hole (although it claims to be twinned with Newcastle), missing the last bus back and somehow got invited to a wedding that evening. One of the ultra groups, instead of watching from the stadium, were all on a couple of balconies in an apartment block overlooking the ground and were setting off fireworks and flares from there.

Saw a couple of Albanian teams too, saw KF Tirana play Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League, was probably more police there than fans, but the posh seats were only €10 so couldn’t complain. . Went to see an Albanian third  division match, which was shockingly bad quality, but a good laugh, at one point a fan went and tripped over the away team’s winger, to which the reply was a slap from the police and sent back to his ‘seat’.

Also saw Sheffield Wednesday getting promoted to the championship against Wycombe (I think) making me one of the few Geordies to ever see Nile Ranger score

Saw the England games at SJP, can remember Robbie Fowler scoring (a header I think?).

Went to nearly all the Olympic Games at SJP as well, was great to see the stadium without any Sports Direct signs, was slightly ruined when Brazil played there the annoying mackem child behind me constantly shouting ‘Neymar’. Also saw one of the Olympic semi-finals at Wembley , saw part of the triathlon earlier in the day too, which was probably better than the football to be honest.

Given the money I’m saving this year by not having a season ticket/travelling up to Newcastle for the home games/ the expense of the away games in London. I’m hoping to add a lot more this year. So I’ll be very much using this thread for ideas

Atletico Madrid 2 -1 Malaga (2003). Was a Real Madrid fanboy at the time and was gutted they didnt have a home game that weekend.

Roma 1 - 7 Bayern Munch (2014). Hoped for a nailbiting classic where Totti would score the winner in overtime, but instead it was 5-0 to Bayern after 36 mins.

AC Milan 1 - 0 Juventus (2016). Not the most exciting game, but a great goal from Locatelli. Was also fun to see Donnarumma and Buffon in opposite goals.

Just remembered another couple.

Argentina vs Germany - World Cup Quarter Final in Cape Town. Maradona's inadequacies as a manager shown to the world as the were whopped 4-0. Jonas was on the bench.

A few days later

Holland vs Uruguay - World Cup Semi Final in Cape Town. Had good seats for this and saw up close how dirty Holland were. They outmuscled Uruguay. Final score 2-3.

Vélodrome for OM - ASSE tonight. Awful game, brilliant spectacle. Cracking atmosphere even though it was only 2/3rds full. Mackem Khazri getting all sorts of stick too. Magnifique. Fully recommended, any amounts of hashish doing the rounds n all.

 I dunno. I'm starting to think it was us.
Trump will do well man. Don't know why but I really feel this will be the case. Really hope it will come to be that way.
